Change Series

Featured in these three- to five-minute videos are Laureate Global Fellows speaking—from deep personal experience—about their social change journeys, their innovations, the challenges they have faced, and plans for the future. Sponsored by the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation, the series highlights innovative solutions for preventing suicide among young men in Australia, improving patient care in Peru, promoting environmental conservation in India, and more.

2014 Laureate Global Fellow Cherrie Atilano

Cherrie co-founded Agricool in the Philippines with the goal of making farming “cool, smart, and sexy.” Located at the Gawad Kalinga Enchanted Farm, Agricool encourages the younger generation to pursue careers in agriculture-related enterprises. At the same time, it promotes reverse migration from urban to rural areas to sustain local development and ensure no one is left behind.
