Director of Content Development
International Youth Foundation
As long as she can remember, Jessie has been drawn to teaching and facilitation roles, and has developed her “toolbox” through experiences ranging from managing professional workshops for adults to tutoring students, running high school classrooms in both Japan and the US, leading youth through experiential learning activities on several continents, and even working as a Zumba instructor. Although each of these contexts has provided her with incredible learning opportunities, she is most passionate about using her skills to support young people in their journeys to becoming proactive agents of change. As part of the YouthActionNet team, Jessie develops new learning materials and services for young social entrepreneurs, supports network development and national institutes in Sub-Saharan Africa, and oversees budgeting and financial planning across the YouthActionNet portfolio. She holds a master’s degree in International Development Studies from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Language & Linguistics from Whitman College.
