Joule is a sharing economy platform that runs on goodwill! They join mentors—who are experienced professionals from different areas worldwide--with either young people who want to enter the job market, or more experienced professionals who are currently unemployed. Their mentors get training and material to assist their mentees. The service is totally free of charge and can be performed through a variety of virtual channels. As of 2017, in two years of work they had impacted over 3,000 thousand people in over 250 cities. Their network included 1,000 mentors spread across 14 countries. Their dream is to connect vulnerable young people with the knowledge, resources and motivation they need to break the cycle of poverty.
