Through Ngapartji Ngapartji, Alex uses art as a tool for community development, providing workshops and training for indigenous youth living in Central Australia. Through theatre performances and displaying works online, Ngapartji Ngapartji encourages greater cross-cultural awareness and reconciliation. A community workshop component, delivered by artists and community workers, teaches participants video, graphic design, sound production, and performance skills. With Australia facing the most rapid loss of language of any country in the world, the Ngapartji Ngapartji website seeks to preserve the language of the Pitjantjatjara people and to generate broader understanding of the value of all Indigenous languages.
