Naturarte in an initiative of the Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans, BC (CEDO) for the sustainable development of the estuaries in the northern Gulf of California. Naturarte has integrated a number of projects, individuals and institutions for the economic development of communities and the preservation of six coastal wetlands: Adair Bay, Estero Cerro Prieto, La Cholla Estero, Estero Morúa, La Pinta and Estero Bay St. George. The work involves the creation of ecotourism projects that serve as means of livelihood for the inhabitants of places, while giving visitors an enriching learning experience. The ecotourism corridor Naturarte, is a concept that seeks to promote projects, to strengthen cooperatives and to improve existing infrastructure in order to have promote the conservation and sustainable use of estuarine ecosystems. This network will spread the benefits of tourism development to the community, maintain its traditional uses and protect the precious wetlands. It beneficiates indirectly more than 5000 people.

CURRENT UPDATES

Currently working in Pronatura Noroeste A.C., the largest Mexican non-profit environmental organization, directing its public policy program, and coordinating the marine conservation and sustainable fisheries proyects.
